In 1971 the Civil War in Pakistan resulted in the birth of a new nation, Bangladesh. But even after 50 years, Pakistan didn’t take any lesson from it. Since yesterday a Civil War like situation continues to grow in the Sindh Province of Pakistan. The fire began when the rumours of Pakistani Army Rangers taking custody of the Chief of Police in Karachi. So far, any correct news regarding this ‘alleged arrest’ not made public. But the Police officials and many local residents are claiming that the Parliamentary Troops of the Pakistani Army Rangers has abducted the Police Chief Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar on Monday. As abduction of people in Pakistan is very common by the Pakistani Army Rangers, therefore, we cannot ignore this situation or reject this incident crafted against the Police Chief. Moreover, heavy exchange of fire between the Police officers and Army Rangers were witnessed by the civilians of Karachi, which lead towards the theory of the Civil War in Pakistan.

The Military triggered the abduction of Police Chief for being uncooperative to the orders of the Army General Qamar Jawed Bajwa to arrest a leader, Mohammad Safdar of the opposition political party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz faction. Mohammad Safdar is also the son-in-law of former Pakistani Prime Minister currently in exile Nawaz Sharif.

For a very long time, the Sindh province of Pakistan has been notoriously infamous for the torture towards the minorities of Pakistan. Sindh is the home of the largest number of religious minorities in Pakistan such as the Hindus, Christians and others. Forceful Conversion into Islam after kidnapping, rape and murder of religious minorities is extremely common in Sindh. Furthermore, most of the people of Sindh want freedom from Pakistan due to various reasons. The Sindhi community contributes a huge chunk into the Pakistani economy, but in return, they receive torture from the Punjabis of Pakistan who is currently the most dominating community of Pakistan. Since 1972 many Sindhi people who are living in or outside Pakistan struggling for a separate land, Sindhudesh. But due to unspeakable torture from the Pakistani Military currently, no big action from them remain unseen since 2011.
