The Russian invasion of Ukraine is losing headlines on most of the news handles, and leading global news channels are losing their interest in the regular news of destruction coming from every city of Ukraine. Every day, Russia bombards different cities of Ukraine to take control of them, while Ukrainian forces and civilians fight back hard. President Zelensky is still in power and requesting the west, especially the USA, to send more weapons to fight. The brave Ukrainians are holding their grounds firmly. But they have lost more than 20% of land since the inception of the invasion.
Although President Zelensky is still promising Ukraine’s win, we need to acknowledge the fact that, the war, the fight, the missile attacks, and bloodshed are happening in Ukraine, not in Russia.
Several think tanks, military experts, and geopolitical analysts believe that the so-called ‘Special Operation in Ukraine’ led by President Putin is just waiting for one big event, and it will engulf the entire planet into World War III.
India At War, also believes that the chances of turning this invasion into a full-scale war, even world war is extremely high at the present standpoint. The Inflation rates in every country are shattering old records and making new ones. The Inflation in the USA for May was registered at 8.6%, while it was 7% in April 2022. In India, the inflation rate was 6.95% or almost 7% in March 2022. But the Wholesale Price Index or wholesale inflation rate reached the 14.5% mark. Stock markets from all over the world, are performing worse since the first lockdowns, and local currencies including, Indian Rupees, Renminbi, Yen, Yuan, Turkish Lira, Euro, British Pounds, and all others are performing worse. All these indices and previous datasets are suggesting a global recession is looming and can hit all of us within a few months. Instead of recovering, the markets are slowing down.
Furthermore, the world is also started to face acute food shortages, especially in the African, South American, and Eastern European nations as the world’s largest wheat suppliers Ukraine and Russia are currently at war. Russia is preventing the dispatching of wheat via sea routes. Russia has deployed its navy and mines all over the Ukrainian shores of the black sea. Odesa is one of the most affected cities due to mines. Odesa is the busiest port in Ukraine as most of the food grains are shipped from here.
So, if you think, the Russian invasion of Ukraine won’t hurt you anyway, it is high time, that you start thinking and planning on how you can survive this mess.
If you are an Indian; the situation is a little better as our farmers have grown surplus food which can keep us safe from acute food shortages, but this year our farmers can also take a hit due to climate change. So, we need to brace ourselves for anything that may happen in near future. India has promised and already started to deliver food to many countries, including Afghanistan and various middle eastern countries.
But you are here to learn about the war, and its consequences and not for economics. So, please read on as USA-led NATO, Russia, China, Turkey, Pakistan, QUAD, France, and almost every nation on earth is preparing for a larger and worse war-like situation.

What is Russia up to?
Russia was the one who started this situation. But even after 125 days or more than 4 months of the war, Russia didn’t get much, as per western media outlets. But in reality, Russia now controls 20% of Ukrainian lands, excluding the Crimean Peninsula.
Russia’s main goal is to make Ukraine into a landlocked country and get as much as the land it can grab. Then Russia may launch attacks on former Soviet states to rebuild his dream USSR.
President or in better words, the Dictator of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, has already announced that he will merge Belarus with Russia on any favorable day.
Russia is not only here for lands or to control Ukraine. Russia is here to take on the mineral resources, nutrient-enriched soil, and freshwater sources and gain a more favorable position in the Black Sea region. In case, you don’t know, Ukraine has a huge deposit of lithium, coal, iron ore, natural gas, crude oil, manganese, salt, gold, graphite, sulfur, kaolin, titanium, nickel, magnesium, uranium, and mercury. Apart from that, Ukraine also has a thriving timber industry.
If Russia gains control over the mineral deposits, Russia will become an ever-greater supplier of these minerals and make more money. This way, Russia will cover all of its invasion costs. But already Russia has made great progress throughout the Donbas region and soon both the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts of Ukraine completely fell into Russian hands. Russia also started issuing passports living in these regions. This way, Russia is putting some sort of diplomatic pressure on Ukraine and the west.
But Russia is not stopping there. From Russian ministers to President Putin and even their News Anchors are threatening to use nuclear weapons. These threats are issued against the NATO members and Ukraine. Many defense analysts are stating that Russia can use strategic or low-yield nuclear weapons over Ukrainian cities especially over Kyiv for an immediate surrender from President Zelensky. But some western media outlets are claiming that Russia issuing these threats just to threaten the West as Russia knows if they launch one nuclear weapon the West will reply with a similar catastrophe.
For example, if Russia drops 9 Tsar Bomba (the largest nuclear weapon ever created), in Europe, People living in Kerala, and Tamil Nādu can experience snowfall due to the beginning of a long-lasting nuclear winter.
In other thoughts, Russia is using all its second world war and cold war era weapons. They are using it to empty their outdated weapons stash and make room for the latest weapons.
For example, Russia is using their T-72 and T-90 tanks which have very low protection from American Javelin or Turkish TB2 drones. Russia is using these tanks as cannon fodder so that they can get more state-of-the-art T-14 Armata Tanks. Russia is also using AK-47, and AK-74 instead of AK-103, AK-203, or AK-12. Russia is also using Su-25 and Su-27 jets instead of Su-57 the latest and Russia’s only 5th Generation fighter jet for the same reason.
But this plan is costing Russia a lot. Russia has lost way too many soldiers and high-ranking officials due to the poor and outdated weapons and defense systems. Russia is also using Caliber and Iskandar missiles to complement these outdated weapons.
Russia is doing all these just not to get new weapons on its fleet. Russia has a plan and idea that the war may soon escalate and they might need better weapons to fight against the NATO forces.
Russia is currently the most sanctioned nation on earth. They are more sanctioned than North Korea. But Russian Ruble has become one of the best-performing currencies on earth compared to the USD. This happened due to the brilliant policies of President Putin. Russia stopped receiving payments for Oil and Gas in USD instead they asked to pay them in Russian Ruble. India, China, and several NATO nations have followed the policy and paid Russia in Rubble. This way, Russia challenged the USD. This way, from trading at 138 Ruble for 1 USD, the Ruble bounced back to 56 Ruble for 1 USD. The sanctions are now hurting the USA, the west, and other nations like Japan who invoked the sanctions.

What is Ukraine up to?
According to western media outlets, Ukraine is fighting very well. They are giving buffeting replies to every Russian attack. But the reality is far from the statements. Although Ukraine is getting tons of advanced weapons like Javelin missile systems, artillery, assault rifles, and many advanced weapons from the USA and NATO members, TB2 Drones from Turkey, and moral support and helmets from Germany, Ukraine is losing too many soldiers.
Recently, President Zelensky claimed that Ukraine received just 10% of the weapons it needed to fend off the Russian invasion. President Biden has announced $800 Million worth of military assets to Ukraine. French President Macron, German Chancellor Scholz, and British PM Boris Johnson visited Kyiv several times and met with President Zelensky to show their solidarity with Ukraine. They are doing photo-ops but not taking Ukraine as a member of NATO or EU.
This clearly shows the double standards of the west.
President Zelensky knows he is fighting a losing war, so he has come up with new tactics. It’s pretty old but effective. He is issuing statements stating that after the fall of Ukraine, Russia won’t stop. Russia can go for the Baltic states and other militarily weak European countries.
But Ukraine has delivered one of the biggest scars to Russia. Ukraine has sunk the pride of the Russian Navy, the Moskva at the Black Sea by firing two Neptune Anti-Ship Missiles. Ukraine got the exact GPS coordinates from the US Secret Service.
The world has poured in support from the Ukrainian people. Poland and other neighboring nations have taken Ukrainian refugees.
Thriving cities like Kherson, Odesa, and Mariupol, are all turned into ruins. But Russia keeps on bombarding every day to stop the return of citizens as many Ukrainian people who have taken refuge in neighboring countries are trying to come back and rebuild their homes. Basically, from every end, Ukraine is a mess and it would take 5 to 10 years to rebuild the cities even if the war stops today.
But President Zelensky is still promising a win for the Ukrainian people. He has banned all the opposition parties. He has made arrested every opposition leader and worker. But the west, the champion of democracy is not speaking a word against it. If Putin is a threat to democracy, then we need to accept that Zelensky is no less than him. Zelensky is also acting like a power-hungry dictator.
USA’s Point of View:
When your country is hit by all-time high inflation, you cannot waste taxpayers’ money on charity. But it is Joe Biden, who has more than 30 years of experience and he has a world record of never making a correct political discission. He wanted Bin Laden to live peacefully in Pakistan and asked then-President Obama to stop the raid which eventually eliminated Bin Laden. But the people of America chose Joe Biden over Donald Trump and faced all sorts of troubles.
The USA is importing Baby Food from Mexico. The fuel prices are hitting all-time highs too, but the Biden administration is blaming President Putin for all the hikes. They are calling it Putin Tax. The USA has put the greatest number of sanctions on Russia and asked their allies to do the same but the USA has turned out to be one of the largest buyers of Russian Oil and Gas along with Germany, the UK, and France. The USA has warned India about Russian oil imports too. All these exposes nothing but the double standards of the USA.
The USA is trying to help Ukraine with $800 Million worth of weapons but NATO countries were buying $800 Million or the same amount of oil and gas from Russia daily and warning India about purchasing the same.
Well, it is no less than a cruel joke for the Ukrainian people. But President Zelensky is in his imaginary world where he thinks Ukraine can defeat Russia.
Turkey’s Point of View:
Being a member of NATO, Turkey was helping Ukraine with their latest TB2 Drones. This drone was hunting down Russian tanks and as you already know, old Russian tanks like the t-72 and T-90 don’t have much protection against this loitering munition drone. But now, President Putin has successfully made some cracks in NATO, and the biggest of them is Turkey.
Finland and Sweden have started to push for NATO membership. They were preaching non-alignment with any powers but they share borders with Russia and they are panicking that they might be the next targets of Russia.
On the other hand, you need every NATO member to vote in favor to become a member. But Turkey believes that Finland and Sweden are harboring and nurturing the Kurds, especially the members of the Kurdistan Workers Party which Turkey considers a terrorist organization. So, Turkey is using its veto powers and blocking Finland and Sweden from joining NATO. Turkey has also stopped the supply of their TB2 drones to Ukraine. Turkey is also targeting ISIS camps and rebel camps in Syria. So, a new war front is looming in the middle east.
As the Turkish Lira plunged to a new low, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is making amends with Russia. A new alliance to change the world order is in the making.
China’s or CCP’s Point of View:
China is closely watching the war perhaps more than any other nation in the world. They are calculating their risks and planning new ways for invading Taiwan. As the Annual Party Congress of the Chinese Communist Party is coming closer the provocations from the Chinese military increasing more rapidly. Almost every day, China is sending its fighter jets and bombers to the Taiwan airspace.
China is also not questioning or bashing Russia on the invasion at the UN meets. China is trying to save Russia by using its veto powers. If you ask why the simple answer is China wants to come closer to Russia. So, when China invades Taiwan, Russia will do the same as China is doing. China has also threatened to block the Taiwan Strait.
China has also become the largest buyer of Russian oil.
China is also pouring money into its military to counter the USA. China knows they have to be very swift as the USA may not see Taiwan’s invasion from the sidelines. The USA will also get help from Japan and South Korea. So, China is also pinging Pyongyang and Dictator Kim is displaying his new arsenal by conducting regular missile tests. So, if the war breaks out the USA, South Korea, and Japan will be busy with North Korea while China will take over Taiwan.
It is also alarming for India too. The troop buildings throughout the Indian border are very disturbing. China is going with Mao’s Five Finger Policy to take Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nepal, and Bhutan.
India’s Point of View:
India was preached by the west for purchasing Russian oil. But Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has given all of the criticism suiting replies. Now, India has become the second-largest buyer of Russian oil and India is getting all of these at a huge 30 USD per barrel discount. While the international crude oil prices are hitting $120 per barrel, India is buying them a $90.
So, India has recently reduced INR 9 in oil prices for domestic consumers. It will keep the domestic inflation rates at bay for a while.
On the other hand, India has abstained from voting in the UN assemblies in favor or against Russia. India knows, that if the war with China breaks out, the west will do the same treatment with India, as they are currently doing with Ukraine. And Russia can effectively keep China at bay just like they did back in the 1971 war.
India is asking both sides Russia and Ukraine to stop fighting and sit for a peace talk.
Final Take:
According to many analysts, the Russian war could last long for more than two years. Then if China escalates the matter by invading Taiwan, the world could see another world war. The chances of Nuclear Weapons usage are at an all-time high. India At War won’t be surprised if we see nuclear bombs falling over every city on the planet.
