As the tensions deepen throughout the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait and the Black Sea, Taiwan and Moldova are pushing their panic buttons to get safety and security from the USA and NATO.
This year, the Chinese Communist Party or the CCP will organize its 20th Party Congress and it will be the stage where Xi Jinping will take charge of China for the third time. But he needs to show something big to justify his grab over the Chinese Communist Party. The Jiang Zemin faction is trying to grab the power back from Xi’s hand. This is the reason why Xi Jinping wants the reunification of Taiwan with mainland China.
On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin may be planning on extending the war on Ukraine. The next target according to Belarus’s Dictator Alexander Lukashenko is none other than Moldova. Moldova is a small neighboring state of Ukraine and currently, they are under pressure after the television announcements made by Lukashenko.
CCP vs. Taiwan:
So, from two ends the World War-like scenario is more possible than anything since the cold war era.
The China-Taiwan tensions started a long time ago since the Communist invasion of China. China was the first country that the CCP or the Communist Party of China invaded in the name of liberation. The CCP tried to capture Taiwan twice in 1949 after the ruling KMT run away to the island and formed a democratic and self-governing nation.
But since the visit of Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island nation, the whole status quo between CCP, Taiwan, and the USA has changed drastically for the worse.
Nancy Pelosi who is probably serving her last term as the speaker of the lower house in the US parliament visited Taiwan, on 2nd August without giving a damn to the warnings issued by both CCP and US Secret Services.
For more than seven hours her special military transport jet SPAR 19 became the most tracked plane in the world. She was guarded by US Air Force and Secret Service on the air. On the other side, the US Forces have jammed the PLA’s radar systems to prevent any attack on Nancy Pelosi. After departing from Malaysia, Pelosi visited Taiwan and her plane flew over Borneo.
After that Nancy Pelosi and her crew went to South Korea and China couldn’t do anything to make a mark. Right after she left for South Korea, CCP and PLA announced a military drill throughout South China and the East China Sea.
But things turned up even more when a five-member congressional delegation led by Democratic Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts met with Taiwan’s government and private sector representatives to bolster business ties of Taiwan with the USA.
Right after the second visit from the USA, the PLA extended their military drills which are still underway.
Response to CCP’s Aggression:
Australia currently hosting Pitch Black 2022 a military drill of 17 nations that include, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, the UK, and the USA.
The drills are going to take place in Australian territorial waters. There will be more than 100 planes and 2500 soldiers in this drill. India has sent a squad of four Sukhoi-30 MKI jets.
On the other hand, the USA has tested their Minuteman 3 Missile to show their inter-continental nuclear missile strike capabilities. It was a clear signal to CCP and Russia that the USA is ready to strike them at a moment’s notice.
Situations in Europe:
On the other hand, Russia is regrouping its battlegroups throughout the Donbas, Crimea, and Belarus-Ukraine border areas. Russia also got some unexpected support from North Korea. According to media reports coming out of the Kremlin and Pyongyang, Kim Jong Un will send 100,000 North Korean troops to keep the Donbas region under Russia’s control by policing the area.
This will allow Russia to expand its military presence to other European states like Moldova.
So why Moldova?
There is a tiny strip of land of Russian speakers called Transnistria located at the Moldova-Ukraine border. Since 1992 the people of Transnistria wanted freedom from Moldova and wanted to either join Russia or stay free. In this region, Moldova doesn’t have control. There was a war to take control over the region led by Moldova back in March 1992 to July 1992.
Russia backed the separatists then and now it is high time for Russia to take on Moldova to take away Transnistria. Moldova doesn’t have much to defend itself with a very weak military and as Ukraine is falling under Russian occupation, corridors for a direct land attack on Moldova are opening soon.
Final Take:
India At War will keep on closely monitoring all the situations and keep you updated. As Moldova is neither a member of NATO nor the EU and their defenses are weak, they can fall easily under Russian invasion.
On the other hand, the USA promised to defend Taiwan in case of any invasion made by the CCP. But we have all seen their activities in Ukraine. The USA has a defense deal with Ukraine. The deal was made to ensure Ukraine gives up its nuclear weapons to Russia. But so far, the USA only helped Ukraine by supplying weapons and no boots on the ground. India At War fears that the same thing could repeat in the case of Taiwan.
The best time for taking on Taiwan is mid-March to Mid-April and Mid-October when the Taiwan strait stays calm and makes invasion easy for the CCP.
But no matter what happens, the US arms manufacturers will be the clear winners.
