Chinese Communist Party’s Military Wing People Liberation Army have become Kidnappers.

What Happened?

On 18th January 2022, the PLA has kidnapped a 17-year-old boy Sh Miram Taron from Zido Village, of Lungta Jor Area, Upper Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh. Back in 2018, the PLA had tried to build a road 3-4 Kilometers inside Indian territory in that area. This kidnapping was reported by Tapir Gao, the incumbent Member of Parliament from the Arunachal East seat.

Insights and Updates:

This report comes at the time when the Union Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, will be addressing Tripura on 21st January 2022 to celebrate the Statehood Day of Tripura, Manipur, and Meghalaya.

The young boy and his friend were collecting herbs when the incident took place. The other boy, Miram Taron’s friend, was able to run away and inform others.

According to the Indian Army, the officials have already contacted the PLA officials and demanded the boy’s safe return. The PLA has promised to look for his whereabouts and follow the protocols accordingly.

This is a very serious situation for India. As the PLA continuously builds villages and deploys troops throughout the Arunachal Pradesh border, it can become an open front of the war. Indian Army and the Border Roads Organization, the Assam Rifles, are working to counter the CCP threats, but we can breathe there easily as the people of Arunachal Pradesh is relentlessly supporting the Armed Forces and Government. This positivity among the locals also helps improve the morale of our soldiers.

A Credible Reason: Why did it happen?

As the 14th round of India-China talks over Galwan Valley has failed, this could be another way for the CCP to use PLA to grab more Indian Territories and after grabbing entire Tibet, Inner Mongolia, a few villages in Nepal, and possibly in Bhutan. This way, by kidnapping the locals, the CCP and PLA may be trying to assert their dominance over the local people.

On a far-fetched idea, North Korea tried almost the same; back in the 1960’s they tried to lure in the South Korean people by creating artificial villages to the borders and ‘A Better Life Propaganda.’ CCP or China has already built the villages, and they are even trying to incentivize their own people to stay in the harsh Himalayan Conditions, but the responses are less than positive. Therefore, the CCP is trying to force Indians to defect. But this may be a farfetched idea, but we need to remember it is CCP, and they can do anything, no matter how ridiculous that may sound, only to prove a point. Mao did it, Jiang did it, not Xi’s turn to do something stupid.

On the other developments:

Jhala Nath Khanal, Former Prime Minister and member of the Communist Party of Nepal, have written a letter of objection to India against the Yatra Road.

It is an 80KM stretch connecting Ghatiabagarh of Uttarakhand with the Lipulekh Pass to reduce the journey time and cost for the Kailash Man Sarovar pilgrimage.

But currently, this letter has no value as the Communist Party UML, which Mr. Khanal represents, is not in power. It can be easily considered that a puppet speaks dialogue while the puppet master is the Chinese Communist Party.

End Notes:

This abduction could also be a retaliation for the newly deployed S-400 Triumf and BrahMos Missile Systems on the border by Indian Defense Forces. It could also be a message to the Philippines, who became the first-ever foreign customer of the BrahMos Systems, and those who want to buy it in the future.

As India becomes a Weapon Supplier than a Weapon Importer, it could challenge China more in the future.

India, At war, prays for the safe return of the young boy Miram Taron.
