On the night of 6th and 7th May 2021, on the last Friday of Ramadan, also known as Jamaat-Ul-Vida, the clashes between Israeli civilians and Palestinian civilians broke out at Al-Aqsa Mosque premises located on Old Jerusalem. The clashes started right after the final prayers of the day in the mosque. According to media reports, the clash started over the disputed land of Old Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Palestinian people believed that the honourable Supreme Court of Israel is going to declare that the holy land may be handed over to the Jewish people. As for a note, Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third-highest sacred place for the Muslims after Mecca and Medina. But the whole city of Jerusalem is considered the holiest place for both the Jewish and Christian people. The city of Jerusalem, which is supposed to be established around 3000 BCE, has witnessed people slaughtering each other in the name of religion in the past two millenniums countless times. Jerusalem is the city that withstands till today after 23 historically recorded bloodbaths in its streets. No other holy places in the world have ever witnessed this level of madness in the name of religion while every one of them supposedly worships the same God. Yet the three major religions on earth, the Jews, Christianity and Islam, are fighting against each other to take over the holy city as their style of worship is different from each other. The Muslims believe Jesus Christ was a Prophet who came earlier than Hazarat Muhammad, and most intriguingly, Jesus Christ was a Jew. This should be uniting them, but as a fact of today, they are not united.
The East Jerusalem or Old Jerusalem is a mixed-race city where people from Jews, Christianity and Islam communities stay together. As the clash had broken out on that day, more than 300 people were injured, and most of them were Palestine nationals and Muslims. To stop the clash or, better say, ‘Riot-like Situation’, the Israeli police forces were deployed, and the situation went under control for a few hours. The Muslims stopped as that was their holy night of Qadr, and the Jewish people stopped because of the national day of Israel or to observe the Israel establishment day; both fell at the same time between 9th and 10th May 2021. In the meantime, ‘Hamas’, the Palestinian terrorist organization, gave an ultimatum to the Jewish people and the state of Israel to vacant the Al-Aqsa Mosque premises, but as the Israeli people has shown resistance till date and as per as their reputation, they didn’t vacant anything.
Then on the 10th of May, Palestine terrorist organization ‘Hamas’ has started firing rockets targeted towards the Israeli civilians and residential areas. On the first day of the strike, more than 700 rockets were fired, and most of them were intercepted by the ‘Iron Dome’ defence system of Israel. But Israel lost more than 12 civilians, including two from India. A nurse named Soumya Santosh, a resident of Kerala, was killed by the Palestine rocket attacks.
In the next few days, Hamas intensified the rocket attacks like 1000, 1500, 1750 and 2000+ rockets were fired on a single day. Although Iron Dome was active but with a large number of projectiles, only the shelters are the only place to hide for the Israeli people. More than 27 Israeli people had lost their lives in those attacks.
It was the wit’s end for most of the Israelis, who even considered them as liberals. The IDF or Israeli Defense Forces started targeting the Hamas Headquarters throughout the Gaza Strip and West Bank. A video of a 13 storied building getting demolished by Israeli Air Strike on the Gaza Strip has gone viral. According to IDF, it was the hideout of the top Hamas Cyberwarfare leader.
After the video went viral, Muslims from all over the world started pouring in protest against Israel. In many countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Lebanon, people took the streets to protest against Israel. State leaders like Recep Tayyip Erdoğan or Turkey and Imran Khan and his cabinet ministers started to threaten military strikes, even nuclear strikes against Israel.
But Israel is neither stopping nor reducing the intensity of attacks as they are now looked highly determined to abolish the entire Hamas terrorist organization and other terrorist groups currently growing in the Gaza Strip and Palestinian soil. The death toll has mounted counted together has reached more than 300, but among them, more than 70 were children. This is completely unacceptable. According to various sources, Hamas uses children and women as human shields against the Israeli ground attack forces, which is increasing the civilian death toll in Palestine. And to take revenge, Hamas is keeping targeting the civilian buildings in Israel.
Israeli forces target the long known and recently discovered underground tunnels and supply chains of the terrorist groups. IDF has dropped 122 bombs on those suspected locations, and so far, more than 150 known and confirmed terrorists were killed in the latest attacks. But the continuously ringing Air Raid alarm and missile vs rockets lighting up the skies of West Asia may be preparing for another World War.
In addition to the conflict, various Fake News and Social Media posts surfaced and engulfed the internet. This is also adding fuel to the ongoing conflicts.
India and France being two responsible members of the United Nations Security Council, has urged immediate de-escalation of the situation and start of peace talks, but neither of the Israeli forces and government nor the Palestinian terror groups has responded to the calls. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia, the undisputed leader of the Muslim World, has also urged both the belligerents to stop fighting immediately. But as the world is suffering from a possible Biological Warfare started by the Chinese Communist Party, known as the Wuhan Virus or COVID-19 virus and the wannabe leaders of the Muslim World like Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan has come up with military plans against Israel, a possible bloodlust in the Western and South-Eastern part of Asia is growing quite rapidly.
