According to Indian Army sources Communist Party of China’s Military Wing, the People’s Liberation Army’s Ground Forces has deployed its latest Type-99 tanks at Eastern Ladakh in several areas including Rezang La, Rechin La and Mukhosri. This recent development has escalated the heat between the two nations and could jeopardise the ongoing stand-down talks between the military officials. PLA did this by following their playbook ‘The Art of War’ written by Sun Tzu. As Sun Tzu said if you want to win a war, get yourself placed at the top of the mountain where you will have the height advantage and the enemy will lose more men than yours. But here in Ladakh Indian Armed Forces, especially the Armoured Division had taken control of the heights at most of the strategic locations with the latest T-90 Bhishma and the upgraded T-72 Arjun tanks. Here Indian forces are at higher positions than the Chinese tanks, as they have taken control of the positions back in August 2020.
The foreign ministry counter parts of both nations talked with each other twice in the last year to de-escalate the situations, and despite of the 8-9 times the commander level talks, the Chinese Communist Party is still fulfilling none of its commitments.
